The Tourism Committee took part in the “Danish Travel Show,” the largest tourism fair in Scandinavia (Northern Europe), held in Herning, Denmark, from February 21 to 23. The tourism potential of our country was presented for the first time as the sole participant among the CIS countries.

At our country’s stand, organized by the Committee with the participation of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Sweden and travel companies, various events were held aimed at further increasing the flow of tourists from this region to Uzbekistan. In particular, a number of presentations on promoting tourism potential, “G2B” and “B2B” meetings with large local and international tour operators organizing tours to other countries, as well as negotiations with magazines and online platforms specializing in tourism marketing, were held for participants.

The event is attended by more than 1,000 tourism organizations and industry representatives from almost 40 countries, including China, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Georgia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Mexico, the Cook Islands, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. This year, the three-day event is expected to attract around 60,000 guests.
