From October 21 to 23, the Uzbekistan delegation is participating in one of the most prestigious annual exhibitions in the USA — Miami World Travel Expo (WTE Miami).

The purpose of participation is to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, attract investments, and expand international cooperation in the tourism sector. During the exhibition, the delegation will present a variety of tourist routes, cultural attractions and unique traditions of the country.
Additionally, they have scheduled meetings with international partners to discuss the prospects for tourism infrastructure development and to exchange experiences with leading global players in the tourism industry. Participation in such a large-scale exhibition will demonstrate Uzbekistan as an attractive destination for travel and investments.

The delegation also takes part in round tables and seminars dedicated to modern trends in tourism, which will help strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the international arena.
Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev took part in the panel session “The Role of Tourism in the Economic Development of the Country”. Industry representatives who took part in the session learned about reforms in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, new types of tourism and their development, as well as the developing tourism infrastructure in remote areas.

At the same time, tour operators, representatives of public catering and hotels, artisans from Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm regions participating in the exhibition presented their products.
According to the organizers of the “WTE Miami” exhibition, the event has attracted more than 3000 participants, over 40 speakers, representatives from more than 60 countries, more than 400 booths, and over 120 members of the media.
